    Hi

I was looking for comments on this 1937 Isa penny with a hole. The hole looks round one side but not the other. What are your thoughts?

Altered Cent. Not a mint error of any kind unfortunately.

Probably used as a washer on a P-40.........(devil)

It looks like someone drilled a 3/32 hole starting on the reverse and drilling toward the obverse with a dull drill or at a speed that was to slow for the size of the drill, only to have it punch through the obverse and leave a hole that is more of an hourglass shape that a round hole. This can be a common problem when using a hand held drill as aposed to a drill press.
The coin looks to be worn down to a fine condition according to the wheat stakes on the revese, and not as much wear after the hole was made.
    Or a washer for a P-40.

Ever use a holesaw drilling from one side only? Does quite a number on the other side in wood.
