1937 LC struck thru multiple fibers and other foreign possible ddo?

Now jay, if they all have the " D " doubled .
Wouldn't that be a WWHO, which was made from the master hub ?

Now Rick, no that would not make the coin shown that WWHO. That WWHO has the doubled D, because all working hubs created from 1922 to the mid 50's has it. The coin shown would have to have the doubling along the top of IGWT to be the WWHO-001.

 

Yep. Here is 1935P-DDO-003 with the same D. What's the point?

No kidding Rick? It HAS to be there as I have said over and over. Every single cent struck from 1922 to the mid 50's has the doubling on the D. Every DDO, every DDR, every WHO, every WHR. All 50,000,000,000 cents in that stretch. Still that has absolutely nothing to do with that original coin posted being the WWHO-001. That coin posted is absolutely NOT the WWHO-001. All 1937 cents do NOT exhibit the WWHO, but do have the doubling on the D. I have no idea why you emailed Wexler to ask if the WWHO-001 had the master hub doubling. Unless someone used a master hub from 1921 to create the working hub listed as WWHO-001, it HAS it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Do you understand it better now?

I don’t think so, but you know what, I think this is a bit ridiculous and I feel sorry for rick, a little bit too because this is the umteenth time he had to defend himself when the horse is already dead, and what was said should’ve been done the first time he said it, by the second time and third time I started getting annoyed for him. Idk what’s going on, but I think the user who originally posted this can gather the information himself. Maybe rick isn’t working to be exactly correct but I also know it’s not jays job to force him to be. I respect jay and rick, but this has gone on too long. Tired of seeing people waiting to attack him, just assuming everything that rick is wrong because he may have gotten something wrong in the past. If I were rick, I’d be thinking about not coming back, but I know rick is a strong guy and can handle himself.

 

I prove my point on this thread . If anyone has any questions, just send them to Mr. Wexler, through his email and he can explain it .

I think I might actually go through mr Wexler when I have a question from now on about doubled dies, God knows, I may have to defend myself for a few days if I am wrong. I didn’t know he was nice enough to do that.

Let me say this though. I still have much respect for jay. I am no one to point fingers either, maybe I shouldn’t have said anything... i just wanted to say how I felt for ya while watching this. I realize jays very passionate for the hobby and strives to be politically correct with the hobby. Just wanted to say that I felt for ya.

I respect you too Tyler, and I respect Rick's passion for the hobby. However, Rick doesn't know EDITED : Language comes to attributing Lincoln cent varieties. He "proved his point" with the Wexler email, except Wexler had to say the doubled D was part of the WWHO or he would be outright lying.

I decided to come back here to try to help people. I left a year or so ago for this very reason. I think I'll take a break again for a few months, then try again if I still have an account here.

I DON"T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OP'S Thread and the COINS THAT ARE COVERED WITH GLUE AND FIBERS but this DD stuff should be ditched and put somewhere else.

@bryantallard soak them in acetone as someone mentioned.
