Want my honest opinion? Before I share, I know I'll get at least 3 of you from the bat tell me how wrong I am yea yea yea.. Okay.. here's my opinion.. I wouldn't have boughten this if I couldn't get it for $1800. I believe the coin is genuine. Onto cleaning, why a person would clean such a detailed coin like this would be beyond me. Now, why wouldn't a guy certify this coin. Maybe that's how he bought it and how he intends to sell it. Not everyone thinks like you do and certify. This guy does MASSIVE inventory so maybe he just doesn't have the time. He's gone through tons of 1937 d 3 leggers and maybe this one was given to him. He originally listed this at $2400. I know him and begged the hell out of him to get it this low. Also, there is possibly more money to be made selling a raw coin over a certified just on pure mystery+intrigue alone. I think this coin is gorgeous. I compared it to tons of AU58's and by no means is this an AU58 at least by my standards. It's so detailed. I would venture to say it's MS. MS what who knows. Regarding grading.. I will be bringing this coin with me to the show in Van Nuys next Sunday to get every dealer's opinion. We'll see what they all have to say on it. Illini420 suggested I do that. This is a risky play and is against my conservative rules, but, I know the seller. I bought my last 1937-d 3 legger from him and that turned out to be an honest good coin. I just don't want it anymore, it's time for an upgrade. So, let's see. Here comes at least 3 negative responses to this post of mine, either "I'm too ambitious" , "I don't know what I'm talking about", "I have no grading experience to make a judgement" etc. Can't wait.. I'm not as stupid as some of you may think! lol
