For me, it was my grandpa's. Not looking to sell it or anything and probably paid more than it is valued at, but it was worth it to me I haven't even looked up comps on ebay or anything...
It's a genuine coin and 3-legged to be sure...not "FRAUD, FAKE"...some sort of random or deliberate but not nefarious, post-mint issue with the date most likely...maybe kids messing around with tools as they will back through the years at some point. Who knows...or will ever know...?
Sorry buddy...a lot of photo-fanatics around here...but with good intentions. One tip: always show the reverse slab with the coin oriented right-side-up...not the reverse label up and the coin upside-down. See, I'm sort of like one of those same fanatics...sort of
#1 - Welcome to CT @BS Coins #2 - It is definitely a real "three-legged" buffalo. Photos of slab verify that, but it also matches mine, except the date part. #3 - the date took a hit, flattening and spreading the tops of the 1 and 9. Nothing more, just PMD.
So if you sent me a picture of that coin to hang on my office wall for my birthday. Would I have to cover it up when I have company? I don’t think I could do it. Cuz I want everyone to see this coin @cpm9ball
You should look in to purchasing a laptop computer...especially with your store and your hobby. It'll be a lot less strain on your eyes...just trying to help.
I have a pic at home but no one will install the internet, we’re to close to the creek that floods a lot and only a few homes so it’s not worth it to them.
I suppose you could always sign up for Elon's internet service beta (starlink.com) or go with a more traditional satellite internet service, but it's probably pricey. I think my parents were paying $70-80/month for Hughes when they lived out in the woods. Or you could use a hotspot from your cell company.
I think it is good, I would trust the old soap bar ANACS holders. Also, the date may have been struck thru grease. Note: No scratch marks on the date
