On the hunt got to open the box have 10 1936 potential Canadian, with a DOT on the reverse. The most valuable penny in the world.
ok I thought the research I did. The dot is under the six in line with the dot above the the date. I haven't got to those yet I opened another envelope. That was full of mint sets. That I totally forgot about. I found a weird Mint set that I'm posting now.
Since there are only 5 known to exist, all in collections and/or museums, you can get a good look at the few that are not fake. Every year, there are 6-7 collectors that think that they have found one, but it doesn't happen. They are widely faked and the dots that they see are all over the place, almost all die chips, rust pit, or added by someone faking it. Good lucck. They are the ultimate mystery coin.
With your case load I’m sure you forgot about more the a few. Clean your coin area if you’re like me. I have no idea of the coins I save for myself are.
Here is a blip from the CaC site, but I double check anything that comes from that site. But here is a write-up with photos of, supposedly, real vs fake: https://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-articles.php?article=1-cent-1936-dot-fake-vs-real&id=699
