The engraver put the mint mark on the nose to be funny but the marksman with the BB gun who found it lying in the street didn’t think it was so funny and tried to shoot it off. But that didn’t work so he just spent it at the Dairy Queen on a large chocolate shake with whip cream and an extra cherry on top only to relinquish it to a collector who immediately appreciated its numismatic significance and socked it away but since lost it when his house was burglarized. But as the burglar like the marksman wasn’t a collector he just up and spent it again and anyway that’s how the OP ended up with it.
