    I thought I had read that the "R" and "S" experimental program was not very successful, because people saw the red lettered bills, and saved them.

    if that's true, then they should've saved them earlier than they did! most of these notes that you find for sale today are pretty well circulated. uncirculated S notes can be found retailing for $550, and uncirculated R notes can be found selling for $800...if you can find one at all. gem R's are tough little buggers...

    That is what I like about this forum. You learn something new everyday. I had not ever heard or seen anything about experimental notes. Now I know.
