1934 Wheat Penny.. What type of error is this?

    Hey Guys,

    Learning the ropes here.. Can anyone help me out with this 1934 Wheat penny? Error? Whilst kind?

    Looks kind of like it was clamped into some sort of holder that flattened the edges. Welcome to CT.

    Post Minting Damage. Not an error and just barely worth 1 cent.

    There is nothing within the minting process which would cause what you are seeing.

    It was probably mounted in some type of a Lucky Holder at one time.

    I thought maybe a broad strike? Why is that not the case? What should I look for next time? Just trying to learn..thanks!
