 ok i bought this last week for $31 and said i would bring it home lol.
Anyway what grade would you give?. There was a mintage of 480 thousand a lot and not a lot when you think about it. Thats 76 year's ago. Well before my time and my father's time.
Btw i am try to put a set of these together - the 43 but you never know. Dave

Beautiful coin... got to love the Irish designs!

I'm not sure if it's the photo or the coin, but I'm seeing both detail and some wear. I'd guess AU?

I'd say aUnc for this! And yes, it does look very nice!

I like the Irish 2/6 myself. I have the 1930, 31, 33, 34, 54 in EF or better ... and a beat up (but still nice) 1943 in F-12! No 1937, of course! I can't recall if I have the 1939 or not.

The 1938 halfcrown is reportedly unique, and only 2 of the 1938 1d are reported ... link here.
