1934-d mercury dime ddo?

    While organizing some silver this morning I came upon this mercury dime which has rather substantial doubling in the date as well as the T&Y of liberty.

    I cannot find mention of such a variety, but am far from a specialist in this series. I also wonder if this is a simple case of machine doubling, although it appears substantial to me (and is noticeable without magnification).

    Would love to get the opinion of some other collectors as to whether this is anything noteworthy...

    I am no expert but that definitely looks like doubling.

    It is definitely doubling but not the kind you are looking for. It is flat and shelf like. Not separated and the same height as the date.

    As already stated that's machine doubling and doesn't add any value.
