Do you think this coin has been cleaned and what do you think the grade of the coin to be?

    Any information would be appreciated. 1931-s1c_o1.jpg 1931-s1c_r1.jpg 1931-s1c_o2.jpg 1931-s1c_r2.jpg

I tend to see more pinkish color , especially around the lettering and portrait, than I like. I suspect cleaning, but a fair time ago. I would put it away for another 10 years or so, preserved correctly , it will be worth more then than now. IMO. Jim

I think it's a 1931-S. Have to see it in hand to determine if dipped. Not a bad looking coin.

What does it mean if a coin has been dipped?

To me it means an acid based cleaner was used.
