    If the man who posted before me says it is, it can't be anything but a DD. I'm not sure I've ever seen him say anything besides MD! :-D

    How did it happen? Are there superimposed portraits on the die, like superimposed letters or dates on other DDOs? Is this one portrait on top of another on this die? I think that's what you're saying. You can tell me, I won't let anyone know, lol.

    It happened the same way as the famous 1955 doubled die, and any other one.
    The die was impressed twice, as is/was normal, and there was movement between the two impressions.
