Hey Everyone, Not sure how this could happen to the date during die strike or if the extra force used to strike MM caused the date to appear this way or was this normal for this partucular year? I've seen plenty of misplaced MM but almost all were just slight off. Appreciate any help Thanks again
back then MM were hand punched into the coin so they can be a little off yours looks normal with circulation wear and hits.
Thank you, I forgot to include comparison to another 1932 D Lincoln. Top pic is the one in question as the MM has been struck closer to 9 in date but would location change how the lower loop of digit 3 doesn't line up as what is seen in lower pic. Maybe it's just my eyesight..lol
