Even when blown up and inverted, that doesn't show as much discoloration around the mintmark as the one in this thread. Also, the numbers in the date are punched much sharper than Jesse's.

Just scored, 6 months, inherited, been in the family forever, make up your mind, dude. I'm starting to think you're a mythomaniac. Also, if you keep posting in the "What's it worth" forum, expect us to harshly critique every coin you post, and tell you that it's worthless if we think it's fake.

Can you also please clean up your grammar and try to use proper sentence structure and whatnot? Just for your own sake? Poor grammar, punctuation and spelling make you look bad.

We refers to your peers on this website. You don't need to defend every coin you post if you're convinced they're real.

What does post count have to do with anything? What does when I joined have to do with anything? I post my thoughts in a manner that is lucid, legible, and clearly defined, as opposed to the incoherent, rambling manner of your posts. That alone should make me a more valuable member of this community than you, as the ability to communicate simply and effectively are held in high regard in online communities. Frankly, your posts belong somewhere between the Miley Cyrus forums of preteens and the Ludacris fan forums populated by 13 and 14 year old suburban males.

As much as I enjoy reading and sharing my thoughts about coins, I don't enjoy reading your posts about them, as they come off as you bragging and/or boasting about your collection rather than sparking insightful discussion. I must say I have learned something from your threads, in particular, how to tell if a coin is not what you say it is.

that type of inversion will not completely create the type of colors you need to determine things

Well aware, but it does give you a better view of what might exist on the surface of the coin.

Of course I'd rather have a 10MP photo to work with, taken in the appropriate manner, but beggars can't be choosers. I work with what I got.

Yeah,im not knocking it down,There are multiple types that will work better.and the quality doesnt fully need to be 10mp.it still is better than nothing

I have to admit that the area around the mint mark concerns me as well. If presented to me for sale and it looked like that in hand I'd pass on that one in a bad fast way.
