    I noticed a foldover type "sight" on the left has me curious. Your opinion counts. 1931-S obv..jpg 1931-S rev.jpg 1931-S (2).jpg 1931-S (3).jpg 1931-S (4).jpg 1931-S (5).jpg 1931-S (6).jpg 1931-S.jpg

Looks like a Struck Through Debris, more than an Unretained Delamination.
I say that due to the deep sharp angle hole near the 'N'.

I thought the same about that but still wanted opinions, thank you.

Maybe it's a struck through unretained delamination from another coin? Lol.

What ever was in the way it's definitely interesting.

I was actually thinking along those same lines. They do have shape to them, unlike cloth. Thin metal fragments from some source or other...

I’m at a loss as to how or what caused this. One one hand it resembles a strike though in all ways but on the other hand it resembles damaged. There is raised jagged metal on the edges. I’m at a loss.

I saw that too and thought it could have been a future delamination and the strike thru loosened the flake of metal only thing that comes to my mind
