    Hi folks,
I just bought a small collection from a guy and this was included. Not sure what I'm looking at so I thought I'd turn it over to the forum for insight. Here are some photos:
    1939 is for size comparison...

In strong acid for a while. Acid dissolves from every direction , so details stay proportional to original mostly, the thickness, weight, and the diameter will all be reduced. Jim

Also.. Dime planchets even in 1930 were not made of copper o_O
    As stated.. Acid dipped
    Just a misidentified heading.

If it was on a dime planchet it would be silver not copper.
    You're lucky it's not a 1931-S.
