    Getting back on subject, I think I give up and call this damage relative to the obvious jolt this coin took at the moment it was struck. It's just that I had never seen that damage manifested that dramatically in those specific areas. Plus, I can't do any better on those pics.

    I agree strike doubling & some post mint damage
    still a keeper!!semi low mintage and not G4

    Very interesting. Everyone has good points, except VF 30. Don't agree with that grade. AU 58. Cool coin. Don't know what to make of those lips!

    Thanks Boss. That grade is more in line with what I'm seeing, and the obverse and reverse still have some nice luster-reflection. That's certainly a
    strange-looking smack on that kisser, too! :)
