I was looking at the 1929 D pennies I have. The D of this year is cool because its a relatively lower mintage at 41m. This one is super worn and been through some use in its life for sure.

A couple simple things caught my attention. It seems to match the VV listing 1929-D DDO-001, 1-O-V-CCW. The location of the mint mark loks right but its so hard to tell....especially with all the wear. I tried to find some markers and there doesnt seem to be any for comparison in Variety Vista or Wexlers. My guess is that this is a not a DD but given its a cool year, I thought Id put together some pics just for opinions.

On the left is mine on the right is the listed DD

cool! thanks guys! This one goes back in da book! Is a 29d rare enough with it sort of lower mintage to worry about? Should I be keistering this penny or just tossing it back in the coin book where it can be exposed to monsters?

Whether it is or not, it is too worn. Definitely a spender
