I'll post some whole coin shots later on today - I took a scan of the coins in question because the camera I've been using doesn't really do quite so well with that sort of thing. However, I have to disagree on the 1941 DDO - the coin looks just like the photo in the Cherrypicker's. There is also doubling on the 1 in 1941, as stated in CPG (Cherrypicker's Guide) but I don't see (yet) any evidence on Liberty's nose. I'll post some more/better photos of that later on today.

I used to make the mistake of thinking strike doubling was double die - until I searched through a box of quarters and found almost a complete roll of strike doubled coins.
Hey everyone, Thanks for the replies! I'll post some whole coin shots later on today - I took a scan of the coins in question because the camera I've been using doesn't really do quite so well with that sort of thing. The scans are good for an overall shot - but even at 9600 dpi won't give enough detail to look at the areas in question. I agree on the 1967 - I think it's strike doubling, although a really nice example of it nonetheless. I thought to myself, "Wait a minute....why would someone pay a premium for something this common?" and then looked up the difference. The 1928S is the one I'm up in the air about - there is definitely something there to the lower right of the S. I know the coin isn't in a high grade, so it may be difficult to diagnose an RPM. If anyone has a better photo of the CPG variety that would be great! Thanks, and I'll work on getting those photos tonight! ~benjamin
