My understanding of the orientation of this coin is two arrows pointing up. My coin is one arrow up and one arrow down, ie. obverse is 180 degrees out of phase with the reverse. The coin is AU/UNC condition and may be MS depending on the grading system. In general terms, what would the value be for this coin?

Basically the US coins have upside down reverses and foreign coins don't.
So it's hard to tell about the reverse 180 degree rotation/ or normal without photos.
Grading is subjective and again the coin must be seen to guess at a grade.
NGC has it at $4 in VF and $8 in XF but their prices run high.
I like the mintage of 600,000.
If it was truly MS then there is $15 (retail) value there. Photos are very important.

Thanks for the reply. Here are pics. When I turn the coin from right to left, this is the image I see.

Since it appears to be a difference of 180 degrees, I'm guessing that this is one of the countries that uses "coin turn", the same as the US. The easiest way to be sure is to compare it to other coins from Sarawak. ~ Chris

Consequently your coin has a premium value! 180 degree rotation. Nice coin!
Value depends upon the rarity. I've not seen one of these

Yes when you turn the coin, the obverse and the reverse should be oriented the
    same. So that's good.
As for the condition it is no where close to MS or AU.
Photos not great. VF at best. Too blurry to tell if those are cleaning scratches.
