This coin and six others I will attempt to post tonite are not (yet) in my possession. All the pics were taken in haste a couple months ago during a family health crisis. Better pics will be available in mid-January, if this forum finds that necessary or desirable.

As with the others, I have no knowledge of authenticity. All came from a long dead uncle, into my Dad's hands...I'll have them soon.

All your comments are most welcome...even bad news. Thanks

Your coin appears to be either Y#318a.1, or Y#318a.2, depending on the type of reeding. It is .890 silver, and should weigh 27g. Undated, it was issued in 1927 and is distinguishable from the undated 1912 issue (Y#318.1) which had five-pointed stars instead of the rosettes at the 2 and 10 o'clock positions, was struck in .900 silver, and weighed 26.9g..

Of course, it could also be a 1949 restrike from the Canton Mint.

Value - if genuine - is in the $50 neighborhood.

It’s a bit odd that I’ve never seen one of these before the last week, and now I’ve seen three.
