1926 Indian Head Nickel - Mint Mark Question

    Please take a look at this Indian Head; it appears to have an 'E' mint mark. I'm not able to find any info on this mark. Thoughts? Am I mis-reading this? It's quite worn, but I was intrigued with the mint mark. Thanks in advance.

    Where are you exactly looking . The letter on the Obverse is an " F" for Fraser, the artist of the coin. No Mintmark on reverse . :happy:

    Are you talking about on the front?

    Buffalo nickel mintmarks are on the reverse below 'Five Cents'

    What they are talking about is the" F" under the date...that isnt a mm its the designer inital 20190406_143908.jpg James Earle Fraser
