I been tiring to figure out what mint mark is here.is a S or a D at first look I thought it was a D but checking it closer it may be an S? what do you think as I can not really tell and be 100% certain what mint mark it is?

I am going to guess a "D" (bottom left) and some damage (top right).

Trying to prove it is an S

I'm Trying to prove it is an S......but have come up with no evidence for that argument yet.

I did just check some numbers and it is most likely a "P" with a "D" made from a die chip.

I guess the coin has a D as many of you commented.I not sure what there but with a 10x lop it has 1/2 S shape, on top & a part of what looks like a D. hex it maybe Damage,I really not sure what there!!If it were in a higher grade we maybe could tell what is there and again thank you!!!

    an S
A D would not be rounded on the top left corner.

that is a tough call imo. it most likely looks like a D. but the roundness to it, makes you think its an S.

i am going to say a badly damaged D. i just don't see anything other then the roundness to support it being an S. it makes more sense to think the D has gotten damaged over the years..

i have an 1909 vdb, that i think has an S, but its tough to see.

As I mentioned before that the size of the 'S' makes it a 'D'.
