Even though this coin isn't extremely high in grade due to the contact marks, it is by far the most attractive Peace Dollar I've owned, and am kicking out an ex NGC MS64 out of my 7070 to be replaced by this lower grade one. I paid $35 for it out the door raw. Opinions?

Why does the "U" in "Trust" look like a "V"?

    Nice looking toner!

Assuming the coin is NT and the 3rd Party Slabbers agree, that coin would carry a premium over its book value.

I would think it would grade MS-63.

That was just the font that was used for the Peace dollar.

Very attractive toning for a Peace. I like it! :)

i agree ... unlike morgans, the toning on peace dollars is usually somewhat homely

MS63+ or * whichever you prefer. The toning is very nice.

Well, the + means the coin is PQ for the grade and the * means the coin has exceptional eye appeal. The two designations are not interchangeable, but you are correct about the toning, it is very nice.

Thank you all for the comments! I was thinking a strong MS-63 too. I also thought it had a killer strike, and the luster is booming. On a different topic, is it possible for a coin to get both a * and a + from NGC since they mean different things?
