Here’s my 1924-S PCGS MS-64 Peace Dollar. It’s starting to tone a spotted yellowish-brown on both sides. The obverse is more spotted. 12 years ago is was bright white.
One of my earliest slab coins was a standing liberty quarter. When I bought it that piece was white as could be. It started getting that blotchy yellow toning to it. A year or two after that it was ugly black. That was when I sold it. I always suspected it was dipped and not rinsed correctly.
