It’s metal, no doubt. Not adhesive. My photos Always suck, but in person it is silver in color. And it is imbedded into this coin. So dam strange.

About Sending it off, I thought they won’t slab coins with stuff like this, where it has basically hanging off of it, for a lack of a better way to put it? Like retained laminations, they said in the grading 101 class that they don’t slab it because i guess the proceeds of vacuum sealing it, would possibly pull off the loose piece of lamination. And I thought it was the same deal for retained strike through like this type of deal? Now I’m curious.

But I’ve been looking at this coin under the digital microscope for a few weeks on and off and I have never once thought that I saw adhesive or anything else just stuck to the front of the coin, my friends. It took me a half a day where I first found it, put it down and then picked it back up later, to come up wktg the reeded edge theory. When I first found it I kind of just thought it was a lamination or something, didn’t think a whole lot of it, BUT when I picked it back up and stuck it under the scope it instantly just jumped out def me as the reeding of another coins edge. And that’s what I’ve thought ever since.

And yes, coins do indeed lose their reeding on the edge for a few different reasons. I, of course, did some research on this thing, trying to figure out WTH it was, etc and I read something that actually has a list of like 4/5 different ways that a coins reeded edge can come off like and be a separate piece of debris to travel around. Dang, I wish j could remember where that was written. Hate that crap.

but, oh well. I don’t know what to do now. lol

And of course, THANK U EVERYONE for your kind, thoughtful, positive and uplifting words. Things have been truly beyond difficult and I just know I’ve lost a good few years off my life with all the stress. I am normally a stress free, laid back, always positive, always smiling and laughing, so my body and my psychi just isn’t used to this crap. I hate it with every fiber of my being. I can tell ya that, friends! UGHH “X INFINITY!!!” As my son would say! Lol
