It could go either way -

A normal Lincoln cent collector wouldn't want it for his
23-S slot, because of the planchet lamination, so it would
be valued at a discount from the normal 23-S.

However, if there is a Lincoln Cent error collector who needs
that date for his lamination set, or to put in the '23-S Error'
hole in his collection, they might pay a small premium for it.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. But assuming an error collector would want it what would a reasonable price to sell it for be? 5$?

Laminations from that era, particularly from the branch mints, are not that uncommon.

But typically laminations go for 2-4$ on copper cents right?

    As a 23-S, I'd think a bit more than $5,
but no more than $10, imo..........

It's one of those 'willing buyer/willing seller'
    situations.

Nice semi key date on the 1923-S. I've never had one.
