I have a bunch of coins to go through, but we'll start with this 1923 Peace dollar. Any thoughts on what exactly it'd be worth? I'm not sure if it's a satin finish, or just an aged tarnish on it, but it is a gold/yellowish color coating.
Type: Peace Dollar Year: 1923 Mint Mark: No mint mark Face Value: 1.00 USD Total Produced: 30,800,000 Silver Content: 90% Silver Weight: .7735 oz. Silver Melt: $12.79
A lot of peace dollars were made in 1923 so yours isn’t exactly valuable but peace dollars are still a highly collectible series. The coin you have is in very bad condition so it’s worth at most a couple dollars above melt value.
Where in the world did you store all of your coins - with a vintage raw egg collection (sulphur eats away at silver) ?
I received all the coins I have as a form of payment. So far I can tell I got ripped. I still have 5lbs worth of pre 70's pennies to go through. But all the Half dollars I assumed would've been worth the most, so far I'm looking at $60 max in silver melt, lol
