1922 Peace Dollar with a Satiny Finish?

    I have a 22' Peace dollar with a strange satin finish to it! I was researching on line and found that the mint made a Low Relief satin finish in 1922! I would like your opinion on it as to wether or not you think it is, and if I should have it graded, thank you GregB 1922 low relief 069.jpg 1922 low relief 067.jpg

    That looks like a normal 1922 Peace Dollar to me with some surface damage. It appears to have been heavily cleaned which is why it has that satiny look to it. If you look closely, you can see that are small scratches all over the coin in all different directions. That is indicative of harsh cleaning.

    I agree, the hairlines are easily spotted on the neck of this coin.
