This coin is very wore. I wanted to know if this is a week D? What is this coin worth?
    Thanks Big Ed 1922 D obverse.jpg 1922Dreverse_opt.jpg :)
PS. This was a roll find.

It appears to be a well worn example of a normal 22-D. I think the height of the mint mark ( even though it is die sunk separately from the rest of the coin) is comparable.

Thanks Jim. I knew it was a bad wore coin. Great hole filler. I was happy to roll find this coin. I paid $2.00 with free shipping from ebay.

I have never really seen a definition for a weak "D", but it will be hard to see. Here is a picture of one of mine. If you look closely, you can just make it out.

The coin is actually not that worn, it's a VG or so. It is not a weak D, just a regular, typical 22-D. You got a super buy on that coin for $2 even with the verdigris! I would conserve it, a lot of the verdigris looks moderate at worst.
