Did I strike a nerve? Well, it just proves that you can't help everybody. Still, if I have opened the eyes of just one person, it's worth it.

  3. Not with me. I avoid ebay at all costs, meaning I've never sold there, but I do use to see if there is a market, and what the market is, if you follow final sales it is a data point, nothing more. My friend who asked me to look into this isn't going to sell it anyway, unless it turned out to have some mint error, or something to inflate the price by an extreme amount. I found no errors.

Welcome Joey. Hope you hang out here for a while. I'm sure your opinion will change.

Many years ago, I used to check final sales prices on FleaBay, but it became too ridiculous with prices all over the map. Now, I think it's best if others use the major auction houses for more realistic prices.

It appears to be a pocket watch fob, as I have several similar. Usually the bezel is silver also for dollars, and should be evaluated as collectible. Together worth more than melt by a fob collector. Keep them together.

And Chris, thank you for the tone of your answer, Class shows.
