This should be a fun one... What do you think NGC calls this buffalo nickel?

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Assuming its genuine, I wouldn't be surprised by EF-40, or 45.

XF45. I think it has been cleaned, but I think they straight graded it.

    40. I'm not a Buffalo aficionado, is there something special about this particular coin? Is it a "key date?"
And is that a die scratch coming off the tip of the Indian's schnoz?

EF-45, too much wear on the reverse for it to go much higher than that.

I would call it a VF20. Have no idea what NGC divined from it.

Personally, I say 45, but I wouldn't be surprised if NGC said 50.

NGC has always been very conservative on nickels. VF 25

I'd grade it VF35 to EF40. The dies were barely hanging on. I don't know that I'd call it cleaned in any fatal sense. I think it will grade.

Lousy strikes are hard to read. I am going from luster as much as anything else. And luster from a picture .....................

    53. Weak strike but not much wear. I would hope that it wouldn't sell for as much as one with a good strike. If I remember right good strikes for this date aren't as hard to find as some of the others like 26s.
