I encountered this in my online history group, but it looked to be in some great condition. So yeah it isn't actually mine, asking on behalf of the owner so photos aren't the best The first set of picture look really good at first but the lighting is at an angle, giving the raised features shadows, making them looked more pronounced. Second set has light directly on it This final one has no lighting and not very useful, but thought to include it as well I am currently looking to get better pictures with more natural lighting, but I thought to post anyway and hear your initial thoughts
First set of photos makes the coin look fake. Assuming this is a real coin, 1921 is the most common date, so unless it is in spectacular condition (MS mint state) you are looking at silver melt value. Which currently is a little less than $15. If you really want a grade (hard to tell from these photos) it could be anywhere from VF-35 or XF-40 to as much as AU-50 if there are better photos. Hard to see details and defects from these.
Yea, looks no more than AU to me. Just a keeper, not worth grading. A lot of these 1921's were also well known for die cracks. Looks like yours has a couple nice one's.
A very common date so it's only worth about melt value unless in excellent condition, which this is not.
