I bought a 1921 dollar VAM-3F4 in MS65 graded by NGC. I am happy I was able to find this VAM in MS65 being one of the rarer VAMs but the problem is the coin does not have much luster and a rather grayish appearance making me suspect it may have been treated with Jewel Luster or MS70 or something else. Is anyone familiar with this VAM and how they usually look? Do they usually do not have much luster? If it has been treated it doesn't look that bad and I probably will keep the coin anyway being one of the rarer VAMs but I am rather a purist preferring coins be in their original state. I wish I could show pictures of the coin but I don't have a good camera to take pictures. There is a little brilliance on the coin but not too much. There is also a little film on the face of Liberty but maybe the coin had been treated a long time ago.
