Thanks! I am happy with my coin not only this one all my Morgan Silver Dollars! Thanks for your reply Cpm9ball. Have you noticed that silver per oz has dropped? Have you looked at the sellers on eBay? They are selling Morgan's way over the spot price and more than what they are worth! I stick to my local coin sellers now. I won't buy any Carson City's on eBay because there are too many counterfeit CC's. I'll stick to my local coin dealers and pay the current price.

Silver has only dropped over the past few days and any of the auctions/BINs on eBay were probabley posted when the price was over $36/oz.

I don't buy raw Morgans on eBay, and I don't buy certified Morgans on eBay from someone I don't know or don't trust. I also don't buy Morgans based on the rise and fall of the spot price. I prefer to collect Morgans graded MS64 or better, so the spot price isn't an issue.

    Thanks,
    I know that's right BUncirculated and cpm9ball.
I mostly buy Morgans from my local coin dealer and i get what i can. But i started out with only 2 in January of this year and now i have 14 Morgans and 1 Peace Dollars. I am trying my best to collect as my budget allows. I thank you and everyone on here who talks to me about my coins. Thank you so much! I am going to post pictures of all my Morgans and my peace dollars.

I was on a modern commem binge for about 15 years, but I'm selling all of them now because I've gotten tired of the Mint's price increases over the years and the quality of the designs has taken a nosedive, in my opinion.

There are a lot of people who like to collect the G-EF Morgan's because most of them are very affordable. Like I said, I prefer the mid-MS grades, but I'm not trying to build a complete set. I couldn't possibly afford it! I don't care about keeping up with the Joneses. I just buy the ones that catch my eye, whether they're blast white, toners, DMPL's or VAM's, and I don't care if I have a dozen of any particular date/mm.

What is the grade of this 1904 O Morgan Silver Dollar?

I got this from my grandpa today and it is this 1904 O Morgan Silver Dollar. What do you think it grades? I tried to get the best pics as possible of it. It does show a lot of little nicks here and there in the close ups but it only shows up close up. Looking at this coin with your eyes you can only see clear fields. Would you suggest PL or DPL? If not what would this grade?
    Thanks for your time.

Thanks guys i didn't clean this coin. My grandma told me that grandpa always kept it in the smaller part of his pants pocket as good luck. If he cleaned it i don't know. My grandpa died in 2003 and my grandma gave me this today. RIP Grandpa i love you.

What would be the grades of my Morgans?

Hi i would like to know the grades of these Morgans. I know some of them are "sliders" but i would like to know the grades thanks.
The dates are the same coin obverse and reverse. I just did a flip didn't move any around in different spots.

Raider didn't say it had been cleaned. He said it had been heavily polished, and I agree with him. The fact that your grandfather carried it in his pocket is all it takes to polish it like that. It's only worth melt/sentimental value.

No offense, but I wouldn't attempt to offer a grade on any of those Morgans from your photos.
