1920 German War Token - Preserving?

    I forgot that you had mentioned rust remover until I reread your ealier post.


    What do you recommend?

    Abe mentioned Naval Jelly. Is that what you mean?

    Here are my iron coins... should I do something or leave as is ?

    (Please note Paraguay is a tropical country, you can imagine the humidity)

    I use something called Krud Kutter which is a rust remover and also acts as a protectant.

    Goossen, any iron coin I get I at least put rust preventer on...and since the rust preventer I use is also a rust remover...that helps.

    I believe in trying to stop the rust. (Many don't it seems.)

    You can see from this thread I tried Break Free. (Somewhat similar to WD40.)

    I then think in a humid environment such as yours some kind coating would help prevent further rusting. Mineral oil perhaps.

    Doug and others have repeatedly warned of unexpected chemical reactions with any treatments. So I don't know!?
