1920 DTO (doubled tie obverse)

    found this roll searching. Doubled die? doubled tie?

    I'm not thinking doubled tie, maybe die chip? Cool coin either way :)

    How could it be pmd? It is raised above the field. There looks to be a hole to the left of it. I don't know what it is but the copper is raised like the tie.

    Copper is very maleable and a hit can push it around and leave a raised area. The hole you mentioned is more evidence of PMD.

    And the raised part comes from the depression just below the tie.

    Ok thanks. I have seen copper pushed around quite a bit.
