My elderly father inherited a LARGE collection of pennies from a CRH many years ago. The collection is in various states of sorting. It all has to be verified and gone through. All I can say is it appears to me to have not been struck correctly when minted. Causing the year and possibly the mint mark, if one would’ve been present to be imprinted. Along with other damage. The sides are thin in those places where damage is, photos don’t show it very well, sorry. No I don’t have a scale, yet! Lastly I’ll apologize for lack of microscope photos. Any input on exactly what this penny is to educate me would be greatly appreciated! Also any tips on telling the difference between actual errors and PMD would be great! I have two pennies I believe are PMD but I’m not 100% sure? Thank you in advance for your help![/QUOTE]
