Since I ask for the 1919 in LordM's new contest giveaway, I thought that I would post a couple old microscope photos of the things that I find neat in them. Although there is some mild repunching of some of the numbers in the date, there is some really nice MD that you can track when you get quite a few to look at. On the reverse, the Canada has MD that starts at the "DA" and moves left as the coin gets looser and looser in the die. Finally the "C" infrequently gets affected, but one one die you can track to looser and looser. I have a few where the "Cent" is involved as well. Here's a few shots:
I'm sorry ... I don't know how to post attachments on this site and I'm not computer literate. You can just remove this post or try to make it presentable if you wish.
Well, I haven't got LordM's yet, but I DO have about 50 1919's, with 4 of them with the offsets for 4 of the 6 letters, and 2 of them all the way to the C. Of the 50, there are 20 with just one letter "shadowed", the last A. I'm really just a Vicky large cent variety guy who, at one time, had 1000 1859's on my desk, with all kinds of varieties.
