1919 Buffalo nickel with die crack !

    It's a peeling lamination crack, not a die crack.

    I disagree it looks to be a peel and for the most part the surface is flaking but it is a die crack. No doupt the medal mixture wasn't alloyed properly

    It sure looks as if the area in question is recessed and not raised.
    I agree on the improperly mixed alloy.
