1919 1 Yuan Republic of China

    Hi all,
    I purchased recently 1 Chinese yuan from 1919.
    For sure it is silver coin because i checked it by friend in laboratory but I am not sue if it is aunthentic.
    If it is authentic what is it worth?
    Diammeter of the coin is 39 mm.

    The weight of the coin worries me a bit but do you think Chinesse would fake coin using silver?I am new to coins so I am not sure.

    Absolutely. There are many silver fakes on alibaba. Your coin also happens to one that is commonly counterfeited

    I don't like the weakness in the denticles in some areas along the rims.

    Some fakes are done with melted UK 50% silver. Makes them a little under weight. Don’t know about yours

    Its silver.I checked it-i am a cop and i asked my forensic friend to put it in some kind of machine.
