    Just out of curiosity what did the mineral oil do after 10 Yrs being left on the coin?

    Harry, I didn't answer your question. Apparently oils make the red luster look muted- not cartwheel, flat and indistinct. I have some graded coins, I have to crack out accordingly. Frankly I should sell and I'd come out better, but it bothers me to see nice coins maybe get messed up in the future. It must take a long time for this effect cause I have had mineral oil and even vasoline on coins over 2 years and never saw any changes whatsoever.

    The changes are subtle at first, and you likely would not notice them unless you had before and after pics to compare side by side.
