Remember, registered mail takes longer, too.

Mine was registered as well. He can't be blamed once shipped if hes using that method now. I personally hate registered mail if I can avoid it but the complaints need to go to USPS once shipped

Sent mine to ANACS for slabbing.

No membership fee. And special quantity discount... only $10/each + shipping/insurance for the 19 DCarr products I submitted.

Got my first shipment, still got 2 more items coming I ordered a week later. Then my whole Carr collection that hasn't yet been slabbed is off to Anacs....

What's the minimum number of Carr pieces that have to be sent to ANACS?

I'm not sure the minimum pieces to get special pricing.

But if you only have a few Carr pieces, you might be able to combine other coins with ANACS's current "Dollars & Cents" special (10-coin minimum).

    Call ANACS to confirm.

But Dollars & Cents is only good thru Feb 28th. Maybe the Carr pricing expires too?

I believe I only need 5 items to submit...I should have a couple over that, but hope I don't need 10.

It just dawned on me ANACS may not grade the 2 oz ones, technically they fall outside their size range I believe.

Yeah I don't think it will even fit in their slabs lol

  13. I am sure they will do it. At first they refused to do the 1.5 oz octagon owls for the same reason, and then they figured it out and agreed to it. TC

I was just thinking about that this morning lol. Somebody should call them.

When I submitted my Ike that was broadstruck twice with the 2016 open house dies it was slightly over their tolerance in diameter and depth. I called and asked and they were kind of short with me. Not in a bad way, more like in a "we know Dan Carr stuff and we can figure it out" type of way.

    My Newps...

Traded for this one at LB at issue price

And bought these at LB. A friend gave me a great deal. They are too cool, too hot/popular and too low mintage to pass them up before the prices go bananas!

I'm just going to use the play stupid method and send them in and see what happens. I can always ask for their forgiveness later lol. I hope they do figure it out and it didn't even cross my mind about the owls which is interesting

  17. That's what I did. I was told no over the phone. Sent it in and it came home slabbed. TC

  18. Love the 2oz Peace token...congrats! Not a fan of that club medal though. The reverse is fine, but the obverse looks amateurish to me. I know that a few people over at the CU forms are infatuated with it, but I would only be interested in it at melt. I've given up chasing low mintages. I really like most of Daniel's work and am happy you are enjoying it. Just not for me. TC

Just wait until I have @messydesk do a .gif on the hologram one. Once you see it you may change your mind ;)

To each their own for sure but it is far from amaturish. It's one of the most unique designs he's ever produced imo

Got the ship notice tonight on the last couple of items. When those come in I'll be ready to send everything to Anacs....

    I called ANACS Wed 2/16. It's a no-go. The 2oz is too big (50mm diameter).

Measure the slab yourself, you'll see.

Whereas, the 1.5 oz Octagon is "only" about 44mm max width.
