1916D mercury dime

Can someone help me out? I'm needing a opinion if this is a fake. Something looks a little off with the "d".

I'd Google "1916D dime diagnostics". The entirety of the piece screams, "uh oh".

 

Yes. It is a cast fake. The entire coin is wrong. Not even close.

Aren't all real 1916D reverses kind of concave? This one looks flat.

 

The whole reverse looks 'funky'.

Confirmed. Jeremy's photo shows the D in the wrong place and with an impossible tilt. His, if anything, is tilted high right, and the real ones are high left.

Wow. "Chop suey crowd"? Whoa, that one would get me sentenced to sensitivity training redo's at work.

 

Wasn't had. Someone I knew had it and asked me if I was interested. Always check on stuff out of my realm of expertise before I buy.
