When you buy a Peru sol, 1. a good coin is complete or almost completely covered in black silver sulphide residue (not scratched) that cannot be removed with acetone soak 2. the coin should have a nice cartwheel when not covered in black residue to ensure surface still intact and not removed by cleaning. I stick with these criteria.
