    Hi guys,

I am new to coin collecting. Would like to find out if this is a Die Crack error on the front of my 1916 Lincoln Wheat Penny near and under the "L" in Liberty 1916 Lincoln Wheat Penny Obverse1.jpg 1916 Reverse2.jpg Top Error Coin1.jpg ? Also, I would like to find out why the rim of this coin is thicker than other pennies I have seen. Is this also an error on the rim?

    Thanks very much.

Looks like a small Lamination Crack issue which something completely different from a die crack.
Laminations are common on wheat cents.

Welcome to CT @Rosalita. At first glance, it looks like PMD, or damage that happened after it left the mint, but I will defer to @paddyman98 answer as he has fairly more experience with error coins than I ever will.

Rims are thicker on the early years. I believe as the master hubs spread through continued use the rims got thinner. Then later when new master hubs were made they were made a little larger and the thinner rims became standard.

Looks like a small lamination crack. Definitely not a die crack.
