    Hi Folks,
1916 Lincoln Cent, Saved From Old Penny Book. On The Reverse , there is an image super imposed on it, it resembles a head and ribbons..., but nothing on the obverse..... help? is that a P inside the O? Plurabus?[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Looks like a damaged Cent to me. Not a Die Clash at all.
Resembles does not only mean that it is something. It also means Pareidolia.

It will be difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the damage. There are countless ways it could have happened.

However, the minting process is well documented and understood. And with an understanding of the minting process, it is easy to conclude this couldn't happen at the mint

Never conclude that a coin is an error because you can't explain how it was damaged. For it to be an error, you need to be able to explain how it occurred at the mint.

Sorry but you have a worn coin with obvious environmental and other damage. Nothing more.

Concerning coins, pareidolia means seeing something that may resemble something else but isn't really there. It's like a mirage in the desert. ~ Chris
