A new pick up thoughts on what you see...D/S as the shape of the raised item under the D looks like the bottom loop of an S.

It does look like an S at the bottom, but then where does it go afterwards? I think it might just be a cud or something like that. Not really into errors like this one so I'm sure someone more knowledgable will come along soon.

I agree. But it is called a die break, not a cud. Cuds are on the rim ;)

It's too small to be the base of an "S" mintmark. ~ Chris

A cud is a break along the rim that extends into the field. ~ Chris

There are 2 known D/D on this year which 1 is very interesting . 1590087081284_1590087054857_20200521_093008.jpg 20200521_093028.jpg

Yeah Chris I do agree but for a fact it is raised as I've scoped it.
I need to study the mm styles to see if any could match , perhasp a rev. Die reused and New mm stamped it. Again IDK but that is a bottom of an S shape and it is higher than the coin surface,

And the mint has had many examples of a date with another style type and size. 1847 /7 LG cent

I've been away from this hobby for a year or so, so the jargon and vocab has escaped me a bit. It'll all come back pretty fast! :)
