I'm really thinking of making this purchase.... being that I trust alot of your opinions I want to know what you think of this dime. I want to do another Mercury Dime set and I like to get the keys first....looking forward to reading what you think..G06 is all I can afford at this time. 20200727_143812.jpg 20200727_143829.jpg

Clear date. Clear mintmark. For a G-6 I find it to be quite attractive.

I think it's more a G-8 than a G-6 myself. None of the letters are worn into the rim and the date and mintmark are clear. If it was the right price I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

It's a lot better than almost every G-6 I've seen in the last two years. Plus, it's attractive. If you can get it for the right money, I'd snap it up.

I agree. It is more than G6.

I would grade it VG-08 if the reverse rim wasn't running into "America".

I admire a man that has the self control to purchase the "key" dates in a series FIRST.

@Indianhead65 I reread your opening post. I thought I was the only one that purchased key and semi key dates first. I've always done that as those dates tend to hold or go up in price as time passes. All the common dates go up and down so you can by on the down side.

If.....that's alot nicer than many I've seen on eBay. It would fill my old set and make it complete.

I just like knowing that I have that coin even though an open space remains in the album. And it gets the big purchases out of the way.

You can always make or print a copy of that date to fill your hole.

I never thought of that. I can see myself doing that alot in my Morgan dollar album.

Not pretty to look at but it's your collection. You know where the coin is that fits in that hole. Up to you so think about a way to make it work. :)
