I'm going to break my own long-standing rule and SHOUT! DO NOT TRY TO CLEAN THAT COIN!!!!!!!!!!! Please read the many threads explaining how that can seriously impair a coin's value, including the fact that even "soft" cloths can hairline a coin.
Yes Sir I heard that... I heard that... For sure.. I won't touch it... Well, im going to sell it.. and a lot's been said here as whats best to do, some say just list it, some say to get it slabbed. This morning I thought about just putting it on ebay as is* seems it would bring a good price.. But,im a little scared, I wouldn't want to let it go for nothing, so I think in the morning im sending it to ANACS and get it graded and slabbed. Hope it dont take too long to get it back, this will be the first time I sent one off.. most coins I just stick on ebay hope they bring what I want... I can't wait to see how it's graded... Thanks for all your help... I really needed it this time... well the wait is on..will let you all know when I get it back :smile .. thanks again:thumb:
It will take abotu 2-3 months if you send it the slow way....I would suggest sending it the 1 week....alittle more $$ but its worth it. Speedy
I agree. Do the 1 week slab. Overnight it to them if you want it back faster. Thats what I would do at least.
WHAT?!?!? I'm in shock! Speedy, I thought you were completely sold on ANACS! What happened to change your mind?
Yeah, I'd like to know too. Though the new slab design is growing on me, I don't like the fact that it can be cracked open with your bare hands. I can deal with the rate changes. What happened Speedy?
Ok.....here is what is making me use NGC more. Mr Taylor came and along with him came with him some changes.....since JAN 1 along with new holders it looks like new grading standers came into use. Almost all of the coins I've seen in the new slabs have been overgraded. That is my number one reason....I've writen ANACS and voiced my thoughts....don't think it will do much good. The slabs are another draw-back as nesvt stated. Speedy
